Moules and Wiggins
For those that don't know Moules and Wiggins are Nottingham's premier blues duo/trio . Comprised of Duncan "Tin sandwich" Moules on vocals and harmonica, Jimmy "Slideboy" Wiggins on slide guitar and guitar and recently returned Rocking Steve Riley on drums (and occasional cardboard box).
They formed after years of playing with other musicians. Duncan and Jimmy got together after a particularly bad experience backing someone else. Rocking Riley and Jimmy have played together on and off for the past 15yrs, backing the likes of local legend Colin Staples, and numerous others.
They can be found every month at Tilt bar , Pelham Street, Nottingham. Listings for Tilt available here
With a sound best described as a combination of 50's Chicago grit, greasy Delta Blues and a side order of Gospel, Moules and Wiggins have been keeping the patrons of Tilt Bar entertained for the best part of two years.
Their debut album is available for download via CD baby.
Come and check them out at Tilt- as promised by their debut recording , they really do have Blues for the soul , Rhythm for the feet and Advice for Sinners!
